The IAFA × Cotofana Anatomy Present
November 5–6, 2026 | Fontainebleau Miami Beach
Two immersive days connecting facial anatomy, live injections, cadaver dissection, and ultrasound to safer, more precise aesthetic outcomes.
The anatomy advantage
Move from observation and clinical correlation to hands-on anatomical validation.
The Anatomy Intensive brings together one of the world’s leading facial anatomists, advanced aesthetic faculty, and diagnostic ultrasound expertise. Across two focused days, practitioners develop a deeper understanding of facial aging, vascular anatomy, injection strategy, tissue planes, product behavior, and complication avoidance.

Led by
M.D., Ph.D. · World-Leading Facial Anatomist
Professor Cotofana is internationally recognized for translating advanced facial anatomy into safer and more predictable aesthetic treatment. Throughout both days, he correlates anatomical layers, vascular structures, facial aging, and injection biomechanics with practical treatment strategy.
His guidance anchors the full experience—from live dissection and patient injection demonstrations to ultrasound assessment and immediate anatomical validation.
The intensive faculty
Anatomy, injection technique, and diagnostic ultrasound come together through small-group instruction and real-time clinical correlation.

Hands-On Cadaver Training
Participants perform injections and dissections on cadaver donors in small groups with individualized faculty instruction.
Anatomical knowledge is fundamental to becoming a highly skilled, confident, and safe injector. This advanced hands-on cadaver workshop provides the highest level of anatomy education to expand your understanding of facial injectables and elevate clinical precision.
Working in small groups, participants will perform live toxin and filler injections on human body donors, correlate high-resolution ultrasound with live anatomy, and then, under the guidance of Professor Sebastian Cotofana, Dr. Terry Alford, Dr. Lanna Cheuck and Candice Dery, RDMS, perform anatomical dissections to immediately validate injection accuracy.
This unique educational methodology provides real-time confirmation of muscle targeting for neurotoxins, filler placement within the appropriate tissue planes, and the relationship between injectable products and surrounding anatomical structures.
Live facial ultrasound will be demonstrated for the entire audience to establish the direct anatomic connection between the anatomy observed on a body donor and real time facial anatomy of a volunteer. Candice Dery brings extensive expertise in diagnostic facial ultrasound and facial mapping, providing participants with a deeper understanding of ultrasound imaging as an essential tool for treatment planning, anatomical assessment, and complication prevention.
The course expands beyond traditional anatomy training by exploring advanced concepts including product migration, layered injection techniques, injection biomechanics, complication avoidance, and comprehensive full-face treatment planning. Through immediate anatomical feedback, participants gain a deeper understanding of how injectable treatments interact with facial anatomy, resulting in greater confidence, precision, and safer clinical outcomes.
Exclusive to the IAFA 2026 Aesthetic Symposium, this immersive workshop bridges anatomy with clinical application through a progressive
