Combination Therapy: Facial Sculpting with Fillers, PDO Threads & Advanced by TMD Therapy with PRF

1:30 PM - 5:30 PM | Workshop

Faculty: TBA

Delivering truly transformative results starts with mastering the art of facial rebalancing—a technique that combines structure, symmetry, and individualized treatment planning. This hands-on workshop allows participants to assess facial proportions and implement advanced combination therapies to sculpt and lift the face while restoring youthful balance.

Participants will rotate through small-group clinical stations where they’ll apply full facial sculpting techniques using dermal fillers, including contouring the midface, jawline, chin, and tear troughs. Two dedicated sculpting stations will guide attendees through advanced filler techniques, while a third station introduces PDO thread lifting techniques to complement volume-based treatments and enhance facial support and definition.

Faculty: Dr. Terry Alford
Ultrasound Instructor: Alfredo Ferreyra, RDMS

Anatomical knowledge is fundamental to becoming a highly skilled, safe injector. This Facial Injectables Cadaver Workshop provides the highest level of anatomical training to expand your repertoire of facial injectables. Working in small groups, participants will dissect cadaver faces to identify pertinent anatomy (muscular structures, fat pads, dermal depths) and learn correct injection techniques to avoid complications and adverse effects. This hands-on workshop, exclusively at the IAFA Aesthetic Symposium, will give participants a high-level understanding of the essential anatomy of the face as it pertains to facial injectables.

PLLA (Sculptra) Mastery: Biostimulatory Techniques in Facial Aesthetics*

1:30 PM - 5:30 PM | Workshop

Faculty: TBA

* Must have previous training and experience with dermal fillers

Poly-L-Lactic (PLLA) is in high-demand and once again a “must have” treatment in every provider’s aesthetic tool box. Ideal for whole face volume loss, PLLA such as Sculptra has a liquid consistency and, differing from gel-like dermal fillers, works deep within the skin to stimulate the body’s natural production of collagen. Collagen is a fibrous protein in the deep dermis that gives skin structure and supports the functions of elastin and Hyaluronic acid (HA), which helps maintain the skin’s shape while keeping it smooth and hydrated. Expand your injectable skills and learn how this unique product can take your aesthetic results and practice to the next level.

Microcannulas for Dermal Filler Injections*

1:30 PM - 5:30 PM | Workshop

Faculty: TBA

Microcannulas are considered a superior method to effectively deliver dermal fillers to your patients. Safer than needles, blunt-tipped cannulas only use a single entry point and glide smoothly under the skin without cutting nerves and vessels. Resulting in greater patient satisfaction, microcannulas deliver dermal fillers with virtually no bruising, diminished swelling, considerably reduced pain, and less risks of more serious complications (necrosis / blindness / vascular issues). In addition, the blunt-tip cannulas may also stimulate collagen production because of the nature of the technique used. This advanced, hands-on workshop will teach you how to properly evaluate patients, diagnose and treatment plan for microcannula enhancements.
