2015 IAFA Aesthetic Symposium

Dear IAFA Attendees, Advisory Board & Team:

It was an absolute pleasure having you at the 2015 Annual IAFA Aesthetics Symposium in Miami this past weekend.  We hope you enjoyed and valued your experience throughout the weekends’ lectures, charity luncheon, cadaver workshop, group clinical, and networking social.  We are all truly passionate about continuing education and evolving this advantageous industry in dentistry, and your attendance and participation stated the same. You helped make this weekend an aesthetics CE success!

Cadaver Anatomy Workshop
For those who attended the facial anatomy/injection workshop, there are not many clinicians who can say they have the same injectables education as you now have!  Within the next quarter, we will be recording an educational clinical cadaver and anatomy video – Highlighting the anatomy and objectives covered during the workshop.  For your clinical participation during the cadaver workshop this weekend, you will be receiving this complimentary and a link will be provided to you to access this on the online Member Forum.  This video will serve as a great review on the workshop and feature various treatment techniques.

Charity Raffles – Faces of Chance
In addition to coming together for continuing education within facial aesthetics, we also had the opportunity to support a greater cause.  With your help, the IAFA raised $6,937 for Faces of Chance! Incredible; Thank you for your generous contributions.  Congratulations to all of the raffle winners!  The two patients you treated this weekend – Elizabeth and Aura – couldn’t have expressed their gratitude more. This was just a start to what we can do.. We now have the ability and opportunity to help men and women across the country. Thank YOU for being the reason they smile.

Presentation Slides
Dr. Donald Tanenbaum and Denise Merdich have shared presentation slides from their lectures.  You can view them in the dropbox link here

Advanced Accreditation
To the Fellows and Masters who received advanced credentials this weekend, congratulations. You have demonstrated your dedication to achieve a new level of skill, craftsmanship, and knowledge to deliver the best and most comprehensive care to your patients. Your efforts are evident to both the Board of Directors, the team, and most noticeably, to your patients.

Patient Case Submission
For members who have patient cases to submit to the Board of Directors for Fellowship / Mastership Accreditation, below, find the link to easily upload and submit before/after pictures and accompanying treatment planning sheets.

Becoming a Leader
In addition to attending continuing education courses, we encourage IAFA members to become leaders to dental peers and colleagues.  Whether it’s writing an article on either the advantages of Botox & Fillers in their dental practice to educate dentists, or perhaps a particular case study to educate the public, spreading awareness on these advantageous treatments for both aesthetics and dental therapeutics will highlight the dental advantage.. and why YOU are the most skilled and qualified practitioner to be able to provide treatments to patients.  So should you wish to write something in the near future, we will be happy to post it on the IAFA.co site.  In addition, we can help in getting this published for you (helps to optimize SEO in google searches, legitimizing you as an aesthetics dental provider, etc.)

2015 Symposium Feedback & Next Years’ 2016 Topics/Workshops
We sincerely appreciate the comments and feedback you all took the time to write regarding this year’s symposium.  Thank you for your commendations and suggestions.. We have just met as a team to review, and with the help of your recommendations, already have some exciting new ideas for 2016 – including small, break-away sessions with instructors for advanced clinicians.

As we get closer to the May 13-14, 2016 Symposium in Las Vegas, All IAFA Members will be e-mailed a survey. As a member-geared symposium, we would appreciate your feedback when you receive the survey. If between now and then you think of ANY topic or idea or workshop you would like featured, please feel free to e-mail me at any time, as I will be collecting feedback throughout the year.

Thank You
