NEW! Cadaver Dissection for Facial Injectables + Ultrasound

9:00 AM - 12:30 PM | Workshop

Faculty: Dr. Terry Alford; Dr. Ricardo Perez; Dr. Mike Golsen & Dr. Shawn Cabbell

Anatomical knowledge is fundamental to becoming a highly skilled, safe injector. The Facial Injectables Cadaver Workshop provides the highest level of anatomical training to expand your repertoire of facial injectables. Working in small groups, participants will dissect cadaver faces to identify pertinent anatomy (muscular structures, fat pads, dermal depths) and learn correct injection techniques to avoid complications and adverse effects. This hands-on workshop, exclusively at the IAFA Aesthetic Symposium, will give participants a high level understanding of the essential anatomy of the face as it pertains to facial injectables.

NEW! Multi-Level Neurotoxins

9:00 AM - 12:30 PM | Workshop

Faculty: Dr. Laurence Rifkin & Melissa Davila, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC

This hands-on workshop is dedicated entirely to the various uses of Neurotoxins, focusing not only on popular facial areas but also delving into the lower ⅔ of the face and emerging uses.  Whether you are a beginner or seasoned injector, this workshop can be customized clinically to enhance your current experience with neuromodulators, such as Dysport, Botox, Xeomin and Jeauveu. Inexperienced practitioners will gain clinical experience with highly sought-out upper face areas while experienced injectable practitioners will be able to further enrich their existing knowledge with novel uses and techniques.

Poly-L-Lactic Acid (Sculptra) For Beginners

9:00 AM - 12:30 PM | Workshop

Faculty: Barbara Brandt, APRN, National Injectables Trainer

Poly-L-Lactic (PLLA) is in high-demand and once again a “must have” treatment in every provider’s aesthetic tool box. Ideal for whole face volume loss, PLLA such as Sculptra has a liquid consistency and, differing from gel-like dermal fillers, works deep within the skin to stimulate the body’s natural production of collagen. Collagen is a fibrous protein in the deep dermis that gives skin structure and supports the functions of elastin and Hyaluronic acid (HA), which helps maintain the skin’s shape while keeping it smooth and hydrated. Expand your injectable skills and learn how this unique product can take your aesthetic results and practice to the next level.

Regenerative Aesthetics: Exosomes, PRF & PRF Bio-Fillers

9:00 AM - 12:30 PM | Workshop

Faculty: Shanna Concepcion, RN, CANS and TBA

Regenerative medicine is increasingly becoming an important part of any practice offering aesthetics.

Join us for this hands-on workshop and learn to offer your patients’ regenerative treatments with PRF, PRF gel stimulators and exosomes delivery through Micro-needling technology. These popular regenerative treatments work by recapturing a youthful structure using the body’s own systems. Learn to treat scars, dark spots, discoloration, saggy skin, wrinkles, hair growth and help the overall texture and tone of the skin. PRP/PRF treatments offer natural skin rejuvenation by using your own patient’s own platelets. Exosomes are the most pure form of messengers that can signal active regeneration into the tissues. The topical use of Exosomes following micro-needling treatments have shown to deliver equally powerful rejuvenating results.

Microcannulas for Dermal Filler Injections*

9:00 AM - 12:30 PM | Workshop

Faculty: Jill Campbell, MSN, FNP-C, CANS & Dr. Kamica O’ Gilvie, DNP, National Injectables Trainer

Microcannulas are considered a superior method to effectively deliver dermal fillers to your patients. Safer than needles, blunt-tipped cannulas only use a single entry point and glide smoothly under the skin without cutting nerves and vessels. Resulting in greater patient satisfaction, microcannulas deliver dermal fillers with virtually no bruising, diminished swelling, considerably reduced pain, and less risks of more serious complications (necrosis / blindness / vascular issues). In addition, the blunt-tip cannulas may also stimulate collagen production because of the nature of the technique used. This advanced, hands-on workshop will teach you how to properly evaluate patients, diagnose and treatment plan for microcannula enhancements.
